Pause with Primi

We are Multicultural LGBTQ+ young people and allies from South-Western Sydney who co-designed this resource with researchers from USYD, UTS, UNSW, and UWS, with funding from the South Western Sydney Primary Health Network. We know it can be hard to ask for help, especially if you’re figuring things out, juggling culture and identity or don’t feel safe being open about your mental health. This site is a safe place made with LGBTQ+ multicultural youth in mind, especially for those in South Western Sydney. It’s anonymous, judgement-free and here for you.

The name Primi came from the Designathon prototype winners and the meaning of ‘primary’ or ‘first’, so we wanted it to feel like a first point of contact for support — like what a health hub should be.

This website celebrates and supports LGBTQ+ multicultural young people in South Western Sydney, recognising their strengths, diversity, and resilience. Community voices highlighted the importance of inclusive, culturally relevant mental health support that reflects their lived experiences. This platform brings those voices together to create resources shaped by and for the community.

You can still use our site! While this was made for young people in SWS, many of the tools and resources work no matter where you are, and you can use filters to find services available to you.
